Oct–Nov · Amavasya (New Moon)
Diwali — Festival of Lights
दीपावली

Celebrates Lord Rama's return from exile and the victory of light over darkness. Lakshmi is welcomed into purified, illuminated homes.

Scientific insight: On Amavasya the sky is darkest — oil lamps mark safe pathways after monsoon flooding. Firecrackers disperse insects breeding in post-rain humidity.

March · Spring Equinox
Holi — Festival of Colours
होली

Marks Prahlad's unwavering devotion and Holika's defeat. Celebrates spring's triumph over winter and renewal of life.

Scientific insight: Gulal colors derived from flowers like tesu carry anti-fungal and medicinal properties, protecting skin as seasons change during allergy-prone spring.

Oct · Nine Sacred Nights
Navratri — Nine Nights
नवरात्रि

Nine nights honoring Devi Durga's nine forms. Each day dedicated to a different manifestation of the divine feminine energy.

Scientific insight: These seasonal transition periods align with equinoxes when immunity dips — the prescribed fasting is a medically-sound detox and gut-reset protocol.

Ramayana
सत्यमेव जयते

"A promise made must be honored, even at great personal cost."

Rama's 14-year exile teaches that integrity is non-negotiable — dharma demands complete alignment between words and actions.

Mahabharata
मित्रता सर्वोपरि

"True friendship transcends wealth, rank and time."

Krishna's love for Sudama shows us connection is never transactional — genuine bonds are built on loyalty, not circumstance.

Mahabharata
धैर्यं सर्वत्र साधनम्

"Patience is not weakness — it is the wisdom to know when to act."

Yudhishthira's 13-year exile illustrates that the wisest action is often restraint — waiting for the right moment rather than reacting.
